Global Water Action Event Proposal
Are you ready to take action on one of the world’s most pressing challenges? High school students will become changemakers by designing a Community Event Proposal that addresses a global water issue with local impact.
From water scarcity and pollution to climate resilience and equitable access, this project challenges you to think globally and act locally.
What You’ll Do:
- Choose a global water-related issue (e.g., access to clean water, pollution, climate-related water stress).
- Explore the impact this issue has on people and the environment. Research how water insecurity affects human health, ecosystems, and local economies.
- Identify the regions or populations most affected. Use credible sources to find real-world examples of communities facing these challenges.
- Investigate potential solutions. Look into current efforts, including technologies, policies, or community initiatives, that are helping to alleviate the problem.
- Design a local event or campaign that connects this global issue to your school or community. Your goal is to raise awareness, educate others, and inspire meaningful action. - Your event could be something like: - A Water Awareness Week at school featuring guest speakers, interactive displays, and student-led presentations.
- A local waterway cleanup and outreach event tied to the issue of global pollution and its environmental impacts.

- Be sure to include a clear plan that outlines your event’s purpose, target audience, logistics, budget, and expected outcomes.
