Our volunteers serve both physically and financially to make our projects possible.
Whether you are serving abroad in the Dominican Republic or in Florida’s National Parks through our US Expeditions program, BLUE volunteers play a vital role not only by giving their time in the field, but also by helping fund these efforts through the Community Contribution Fee (CCF).
Separate from the trip cost, this fee directly supports critical program expenses, such as:
Purchasing site materials
Hiring skilled workers in the field
Building gravity-driven aqueducts and pit latrines
Providing safe water filters
Supporting community education around water and sustainability
If you are signed up for a water project, your CCF is $750.
If you are signed up for a sanitation or filter project, your CCF is $500.
If you are signed up for a US Expedition, your CCF is $250.
Every dollar raised goes toward sustaining BLUE’s programming both internationally in the Dominican Republic and domestically in the U.S ensuring we can continue delivering clean water, sanitation, and sustainability education where it is needed most.
CCF dollars raised cannot be transferred to your trip cost account balance.
01 - Create Your Fundraising Page
(If you choose to fundraise offline, please let us know at trips@bluemissions.org.)
02. Volunteers have until May 1st, 2026 to fundraise their CCF.
That gives you plenty of time to share your personal fundraising page, spread the word, and fundraise your goal amount. If volunteers do not fundraise their goal by the deadline, the credit card on file will be charged the remaining difference after May 1, 2026.
Go above and beyond! Volunteers that $1000 receive a limited edition BLUE Missions hydro-backpack.
03. We are here to help!
From now until your trip, we are here to support YOU. Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions, ideas, or comments about the CCF. We are expert fundraisers.
