In 2026, BLUE is taking you into Florida’s wildest landscape and waters.
This family weekend in the heart of the Everglades is open to all ages and is designed to bring adventure, learning, and impact together. Families will spend the weekend camping, kayaking through mangrove tunnels, and enjoying guided hikes, yoga, and campfire sessions.
No prior experience is required, and all activities are beginner friendly and led by experienced guides.

1. What should I bring?
Comfortable outdoor clothing and sturdy shoes
Sunscreen, insect repellent, and a reusable water bottle
Flashlight or headlamp
Sleeping bag/blankets (if not glamping)
Personal items and toiletries
2. Are meals included?
Continental Breakfast Sunday 2/15 and Monday 2/16 and Buffet BBQ dinner on Sunday 2/15 are included.
3. Do I need to bring anything for meals?
Yes! You are welcome to bring personal food items. Fire pits are available at the campground if you want to cook simple meals. You can also bring a small cooler, snacks, or ingredients you prefer. If you do not want to cook, there is a restaurant on site at Flamingo where you can purchase meals during the weekend.
4. Is the trip family-friendly?
Yes! Activities are designed for both adults and kids, with options for different energy levels (kayaking, hiking, games, storytelling).
5. Do I need prior experience for kayaking or hiking?
No experience is required. All activities are beginner-friendly and guided by staff or park rangers.
6. What’s the difference between a campsite and a glamping tent?
Campsite: Traditional camping with your own tent and gear.
Glamping Tent: Pre-set tent with beds and basic amenities for a more comfortable experience.
7. What about safety?
Safety is a top priority. All guided activities follow park regulations. Rangers and guides are present to ensure safe wildlife interactions, boating, and hiking.
8. What if it rains?
The trip continues rain or shine, with indoor or sheltered alternatives for some activities. Please bring appropriate rain gear.
9. Are pets allowed?
Check park rules. In many national parks, pets are allowed only in designated areas and not on trails or boat tours.
10. How do I get there?
Flamingo Campground is accessible by car. Directions and a map will be shared upon registration. Parking is available on-site.
