Program Costs, Payments + Fundraising

 

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

Your BLUE Service Trip Program Fee covers the essential costs of operating your experience, while your Community Contribution Fund directly supports BLUE’s work alongside the communities we serve.

YOUR PROGRAM FEE

Your Program Fee includes:

  • Round-trip airfare, if selected during registration

  • In-country transportation

  • Lodging and meals

  • Program staffing

  • Travel medical insurance

  • Project logistics and supplies

  • Pre-trip orientation

  • BLUE program T-shirt

RESERVE YOUR SPOT

A $250 Registration Deposit is required to secure your place on a BLUE Service Trip.

The deposit is applied toward your total Program Fee and is non-refundable and non-transferable to another participant. Registration is not confirmed until the deposit has been received.

2027 SUMMER PAYMENT DEADLINES

CANCELLATIONS + REFUNDS

BLUE begins investing in each participant’s experience months before departure, including airfare, accommodations, transportation, insurance, staffing, and project logistics. Because many of these expenses are committed in advance, cancellation deadlines apply.

Cancel on or before December 31, 2026
Program Fee payments are eligible for a refund, less the $250 non-refundable Registration Deposit and $500 in unrecoverable expenses already incurred by BLUE Missions.

Cancel after December 31, 2026
Program Fee payments are not eligible for a refund.

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to trips@bluemissions.org.

COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTION FUND

YOUR TRIP HELPS MAKE THE WORK POSSIBLE.

Separate from your Program Fee, every BLUE participant contributes to the Community Contribution Fund (CCF).

The CCF supports the planning, materials, implementation, and long-term sustainability of BLUE’s clean water, sanitation, and education initiatives in the communities we serve.

FUNDRAISE YOUR IMPACT

Participants can fulfill their Community Contribution Fund requirement through fundraising, personal contributions, or a combination of both.

We encourage volunteers to fundraise and invite others into the mission. By sharing your campaign, you’re raising awareness about the water and sanitation crisis while directly supporting BLUE’s community programs.

CCF levels are subject to change for future program offerings.

For 2027 Summer Service Trips, the full Community Contribution Fund requirement is due May 1, 2027.

CCF contributions are non-refundable and cannot be applied toward a participant’s Program Fee. Any funds raised above the required CCF amount remain with BLUE Missions to further advance its mission and cannot be refunded or transferred toward the Program Fee.
