The 4th Annual Building Young Leaders 2026 Pitch Competition marks the culminating event of the Building Young Leaders program, where students present their final projects to a panel of expert judges.

After 13 weeks of hands-on learning, leadership development, and real-world experience, each student delivers a 3-minute pitch inspired by one of five impact pathways:

• Art & Activism

• Social Entrepreneurship

• Civic Engagement

• Public Programs

• STEM

The event will conclude with an awards presentation and commencement ceremony recognizing student achievements.

Volunteers will work alongside BLUE Missions and Matheson Hammock staff to help beautify this coastal park and protect our ocean ecosystem.

The thinkBLUE Challenge Awards Ceremony celebrates the creativity, passion, and impact of students who participated in this year’s program.

This year, over 100 schools joined us as elementary and middle school students engaged with global water issues, exploring the connection between water, health, and opportunity. This event recognizes their work and the ideas they developed to help create a more equitable future.

For some people, finding their drop means traveling to work on a water project abroad or restoring local habitats. For others, their drop comes in the form of investment in work that creates a ripple effect. At the 2026 BLUE Gala, we invite you to help build a water-secure future by investing in water access.

While being granted an immersive look into our work, you will be given the opportunity to make a profound impact. 100% of the funds raised through the BLUE Gala goes directly into our programs, none of it pays for the event itself.

All ages are welcome. Kayak and paddle boards rental are available on-site. If you have your own, feel free to bring it!

Please arrive at the PADL HQ in Virginia Key 15-30 minutes prior to the event to signing in.
