IN JUNE 2016, A GROUP OF 26 VOLUNTEERS WORKed TOGETHER TO CONSTRUCT SEVERAL SANITATION PROJECTS IN EL JOBO.
HIGH SCHOOL TRIP
Type of Project:
Ventilated Improved Pit Latrine
Water Project Completed:
In June of 2015, our organization helped to construct a water project in El Jobo. The community was very organized and motivated to work and sustain the water project for many, many years to come. Our staff quickly chose El Jobo as one of the communities who would benefit from Phase 2 of our mission because of their motivation to serve and bring more projects into their community. Our second group of volunteers arrived in June of 2016 to build 17 VIP Latrines through out the community. Many of these high school students were rookies on the trip and quickly immersed themselves into the culture of the community. Whether it was playing dominos with the locals at night or stick ball with the children in the afternoon, they took full advantage.
